Update on ACWW news!! Bits I know anyway!!
There was an event at Barnstable and one near Margate this month - hope they went well. Our WI are going to have a coffee morning on 20th October (a Wednesday) was chosen as the 15th - the actual UN International Day for Rural Women is a Friday and some members go into the market at the local 'town' and I've been volunteered for another meeting!
Whilst I was in Ireland I posted my form to attend the Irish Conference. Hope they get it OK - the post box seemed a bit 'out of the way' to me!! What shall I do - if it doesn't arrive as I gave my daughter-in-law the cash and she wrote me a 'euro' cheque!! Whoops and she's off to New Zealand 'til next summer!! Ah well, fingers crossed - again!! Also posted my money to Jackie for Prague. Heard from Valerie she is planning great things and wants Jackie as a speaker to talk about soap making and tie-dying Africa style - sounds really interesting. Valerie says that Dorset has a Cameroonian project involving these crafts.
